Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist with 5-10 years of experience in the field. An accredited Bachelor's Degree in Geology is preferred, though a degree in Geological Engineering is also accepted. This role requires extensive travel and involves working on various geological projects, including well installation, foundation investigations, and contamination assessments.

Responsibilities: • Oversee field operations for monitoring well installation programs, foundation investigations, contamination assessments, and geologic site characterizations. • Perform soil and rock logging and prepare professional logs for soil, rock, and monitoring well construction data. • Install and manage water monitoring and water quality equipment, including data output management. • Manage drilling and related contractors according to company guidelines and procedures. • Interface with various customers and assist the Geologist and Land Group peers to facilitate field investigations.

Essential Skills: • Experience in executing field investigations using various drilling methods and resources. • Proficiency in soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, groundwater monitoring, and field data reporting. • Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods. • General understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. • Working knowledge of gINT BoreDM Boring Log Program. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Ability to work with limited supervision. • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: • 5-10 years of experience in a related field. • Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Geology preferred; Geological Engineering accepted. • Safety-first mindset. • Strong customer focus and conflict resolution skills.

Work Environment:

The position entails fieldwork with a typical workweek of four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with occasional 10-day shifts. There is extensive travel required throughout the southeastern United States, primarily in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
