Maintenance Mechanic - $38-$46/hr, 2pm Start

Location: Lowell, MA Pay: $38–$46/hour DOE Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM start Position: Maintenance Mechanic Overview: Adecco Staffing is partnering with a company in Lowell, MA to hire a Maintenance Mechanic. This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on food manufacturing equipment and supporting all production maintenance activities. Electrical experience is required. The position also involves food handling in accordance with HACCP protocols. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and instrumentation (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems) • Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components • Prioritize work orders and emergency repairs based on operational needs • Document all maintenance activities and prepare operating standards and procedures • Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, and unsafe conditions • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure clean, safe work areas • Comply with all OSHA, GMP, safety, health, environmental, and quality policies • Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve production processes • Use CMMS software to document equipment maintenance and purchases Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent • Valid Driver's License • Minimum 5+ years of experience in packaging/process equipment maintenance in food or beverage manufacturing • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (Electrical experience required) • Experience with automation, complex mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLCs, instrumentation, and motion controllers • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet browsers) • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, lift 25–40 lbs, and work in hot, cold, or variable environments • Reliable with consistent attendance and willing to work overtime • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional teams Work Environment: • Exposure to moving machinery, dust, food allergens, gases, and temperature/humidity changes • Manual labor required How to Apply: If you meet the requirements and are interested in this position, please apply with an updated resume.
