Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting | Tacoma, WA | 2026–2027 School Year
Location: Tacoma, WA Start Date: August 24, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 37 hours per week Contract Length: 42 Weeks Position Overview
We are currently seeking 4 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a school district team in Tacoma, WA for the 2026–2027 school year. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating students, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services in alignment with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Caseload Information • 3 Elementary caseloads • 1 Secondary caseload (Middle/High School) • Average caseload: 45–50 students Key Responsibilities • Conduct speech and language evaluations • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans • Provide direct and indirect therapy services • Maintain accurate and timely documentation • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families • Participate in IEP meetings Minimum Requirements • Active Washington State SLP License • CCC-SLP preferred (may be required) • School-based experience preferred • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Compensation • Local: $70/hour (approx. $2,146/week) • Travel: $2,410/week • Housing: $900/week • Meals: $400/week • OT paid at 1.5x rate Interview Process • Virtual interview with Special Education Director and Lead SLP
