Job Description
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of HCS homes and/or day programs
• Supervise DSPs, home managers, and nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with Texas HHSC HCS rules and regulations
• Monitor service delivery and Individual Plans of Care (IPC)
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff
• Maintain proper staffing levels and schedules
• Conduct audits, incident reviews, and corrective actions
• Coordinate with case managers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Communicate with families, guardians, and outside agencies
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2 years experience in HCS, IDD, or similar programs
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Texas HCS/HHSC rules and Medicaid waiver programs
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
• LVN or RN license
• Experience as HCS Case Manager or Residential Manager
• Experience with Texas Medicaid waiver programs (HCS, TxHmL, CLASS)
