What You'll Do As a Leather Cutting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for: • Operating automated leather cutting machinery, including setting up knives according to production specifications. • Loading and guiding rolls of leather or other materials into the machine for precise and consistent cuts. • Monitoring machine operation during production runs to ensure smooth, automatic cutting processes. • Inspecting finished leather pieces for clean edges and accurate sizing, maintaining quality control. • Picking, counting, organizing, and boxing finished products for shipment. • Sharpening and maintaining machine knives to ensure optimal cutting performance. • Keeping the work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency. • Following all safety procedures and production instructions to meet quality standards. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Strong attention to detail and excellent counting skills. • Ability to stand and move comfortably throughout an entire shift. • Good hand strength and dexterity for guiding leather through machinery. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus but not required. • A safety-conscious attitude and a willingness to learn.
