Structural Engineer/Designer

Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer/Designer to join our client's engineering team. This position requires strong design capabilities, industrial door system understanding, and the ability to work with overhead cranes, conveyors, or material-handling systems. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering (required); P.E. License is also required. Key Responsibilities • Create structural designs and engineering calculations for industrial doors and related systems. • Develop AutoCAD drawings for structural components, assemblies, and installation layouts. • Perform structural analysis, stress analysis, and load calculations. • Support manufacturing and installation teams with engineered solutions. • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and internal teams throughout project lifecycle. • Ensure all designs meet MIOSHA, company safety standards, and industry codes. • Review client specifications and customize design solutions to meet project requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering or industrial door design. • AutoCAD fluency (required). • Experience with Structural Steel AutoCAD design. • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, stress analysis, and calculations. • Experience with overhead conveyors, overhead cranes, or material-handling systems (preferred). • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
