Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate loading, unloading, and storage of products. Your expertise will support seamless warehouse distribution operations, contribute to timely order fulfillment, and uphold safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong warehouse experience, proficiency with forklift operations, and a commitment to maintaining organized inventory processes.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently

• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately

• Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch

• Stock shelves and storage areas in accordance with warehouse layout plans

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against shipping documents and purchase orders

• Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems

• Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit

• Load and unload trucks while adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines

• Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize space utilization and streamline distribution processes

• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software

• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and inventory control

• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements

• Experience with order picking & packing, as well as using order picker equipment

• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes within e-commerce or retail environments

• Valid forklift certification preferred; must adhere to safety standards at all times

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
