Job Summary

Join our dedicated security team as a Sunday & Monday Rosa Parks Transit Center Security Guard! In this vital role, you will ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and the facility during weekend and Monday shifts. Your proactive presence will deter misconduct, monitor activity through surveillance systems, and respond swiftly to incidents. Responsibilities

• Patrol the transit center premises regularly to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access

• Monitor CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems continuously to observe activity and identify potential security threats

• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid

• Enforce safety policies by conducting inspections of individuals and packages when necessary

• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally, de-escalating tense situations with conflict management techniques

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as needed

• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records accurately and promptly

Requirements

• Ability to handle a tad bit stressful situations with professionalism and confidence

• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail for surveillance monitoring

• Solid communication skills to interact effectively with the public, colleagues, and emergency responders

• Must be able to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
