Tig Welder/Fabricator Details:
• Contract to Hire position
• $30.00 to $36.00 /hour
• First Shift
• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and/or aluminum components, producing high-quality, precision welds to meet detailed prints, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Set up TIG welding equipment, select proper fillers and settings, and inspect finished welds for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair stainless steel and other metal equipment used in cheese production and packaging.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), cutting, grinding, and finishing of components.
• Modify and repair machinery, conveyors, tanks, and other plant equipment to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify fabrication needs and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with GMP, food safety, and OSHA safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of tools and materials.
Tig Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial maintenance (food manufacturing experience preferred).
• Must Have 2+ years of TIG welding
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Skilled in MIG/TIG welding, cutting, and metal finishing.
• Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, sanitary welding, and food-grade equipment standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in welding/fabrication preferred.
