Job Description
Position Summary Express Employment Professionals of Denton County are looking for a Ground Maintenance Worker to support field crews in daily park maintenance activities. This role works alongside crew members to help maintain parks, grounds, and facilities. The position is physically active and performed outdoors throughout the workday. Pay: Up to $17/hr Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6a-3:30pm Fri 6a-10a Work Location • Employees will ride with field crews each day or may meet directly at assigned park sites • Work is completed outdoors in varying weather conditions Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Employees must provide and wear their own PPE, including: • Work gloves • Eye protection • Ear protection • Steel‑toe shoes or boots Essential Duties & Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance • Weed eating, edging, and blowing while crews mow • Pulling weeds and trimming low branches • Planting flowers, shrubs, or other plants Park & Facility Upkeep • Picking up trash and debris • Changing trash can liners • Cleaning park grills • Cleaning restrooms • Pressure washing picnic tables and pavilions Equipment & General Support • Cleaning and maintaining equipment at the beginning and end of each workday • Assisting with minor repairs to drinking fountains and other park infrastructure Physical & Environmental Requirements • Ability to work outside all day in heat, cold, and other weather conditions • Ability to walk, bend, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods • Ability to safely use hand tools and light power equipment While working as an Express Associate, you can become eligible for a variety of benefits*, including: • Weekly Pay • Direct Deposit • Holiday Pay (6 Days Observed) • Medical Plan • Referral Bonuses Associates may be required to work a specified number of hours and/or weeks before they become eligible for some benefits.
