Job Description
Locate and transport materials using a forklift or overhead crane. Heavier materials require team lifting or appropriate equipment. Load materials onto truck trailers, ensuring proper spacing and arrangement for optimal delivery. Verify materials to confirm correct items are placed on trucks according to manifest and weight. Complete necessary paperwork following company guidelines, including order processing in the mainframe system. Prepare shipping tags using a department computer or manually if necessary. Notify supervisor or maintenance when equipment requires repairs or preventive maintenance. Follow all safety policies, including the use of required PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
