Job Summary

Gem State Staffing-Nampa is currently seeking three (3) reliable and hardworking Production Utility Workers for a fast-paced manufacturing client in Nampa. This position involves processing long lengths of industrial Unistrut down to specified, usable sizes through precise cutting, grinding, and packaging. If you enjoy a physical, hands-on role with excellent overtime earning potential, this is the job for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Cutting / Saw Operation: Measure and cut long lengths of Unistrut down to specified sizes using an industrial chop saw. Maintain accuracy to minimize material waste.

• Deburring & Grinding: Move cut pieces to the finishing station and utilize hand grinders and deburring tools to smooth down sharp edges and burrs.

• Quality Control & Packing: Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet client specifications, count orders, and securely pack finished products for shipping.

• Material Handling: Manually move, stack, and stage raw Unistrut materials and finished bundles around the shop floor.

• Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to all shop safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, steel-toed boots). Keep workstation clean and free of debris.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks for the duration of a 10-hour shift. Must be able to comfortably and consistently lift up to 50 lbs.

• Tool Experience: Prior experience operating a chop saw, hand grinders, or similar power tools is highly preferred, but mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are required.

• Measurement Skills: Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math.

• Dependability: Strong work ethic with a history of excellent attendance. Must be flexible and willing to work mandatory Saturday overtime during peak production.

• Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive background check.
