GLO Resources is currently hiring a Entry Level Pavement Machine Operator to work in the Greater New Orleans area. The pay range is between $22-$32 an hour, experience dependent. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, with weekend work available at times.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy milling equipment used to remove asphalt or concrete surfaces before paving. They will be trained on this equipment and required to have experience with Asphalt Paver Operating or Asphalt Screed Operating

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete training to operating milling machines to remove asphalt or concrete surfaces to specified depths and grades.

• Ensure proper setup of milling equipment.

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to achieve accurate milling depths and surface finishes.

• Coordinate with paving crews and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and site readiness.

• Inspect milling machine components before and after use to ensure mechanical soundness and report any maintenance issues.

• Maintain daily logs of work performed, equipment usage, and site conditions.

• Load and unload milling debris into trucks safely and efficiently.

• Adhere to company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Assist with traffic control and other general labor duties as required on the job site.

• May be assigned other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating milling machines on asphalt or civil construction projects is preferred.

• Experience with asphalt paver operation or asphalt screed operation isrequired.

• TWIC card is preferred.

• Willing to submit to a drug screen.

• Reliable transportation
