Position: Billing Clerk Pay Rate: $18.00 - $26.00 /hourly Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: Lodi, CA Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities: • Freight Tag Processing: Process daily tags (Date stamping, Mark Off, and Rating). Generate and issue invoices for freight and transportation services, ensuring accuracy in rate, distances, and services provided. • Customer Service: Assist in customer billing inquiries, resolving any issues or discrepancies with customers or drivers in a timely and professional manner. • Driver Payroll: Balance driver settlement sheets for Payroll. • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure billing practices comply with transportation regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit regular reports on billing activities and outstanding accounts. • Record Keeping: Filing all invoices and documents. • Routinely preparing invoices, tickets, and freight bills for mailing. • Emailing tickets, invoices, and freight bills to customers on a weekly basis. Qualifications: • High School Diploma – or the equivalent (For Example: GED) is desirable • 1-3 Years previous experience in billing, particularly within the transportation or freight industry, is highly preferred. • Saturday work required. Multiple times per month, mandatory shifts occurring on Saturday will be assigned in order to meet billing deadlines, including, but not limited to, driver payroll deadlines and month-end closing deadlines. • Proficiency in Billing Software, MS Office, and Excel. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to resolve customer issues effectively. • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
