JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Entry Level - Logistics Coordinator 18.00/hr Omeha, NE 68110 6 month contract to hire Shipment Planning & Order Processing • Receive and Verify Orders: Review customer orders for accuracy in items, quantities, and shipping addresses. • Confirm Availability: Coordinate with inventory management to ensure stock is ready for fulfillment. • Schedule Shipments: Plan pickup windows and delivery dates based on carrier availability and customer requirements. • Input Data: Enter order details into Shipping or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). 2. Documentation & Compliance • Prepare Shipping Documents: Generate essential delivery documents such as: • * Bills of Lading (BOL): To serve as a contract and receipt for cargo. • Invoices and Packing Lists: Detailing goods and pricing. • Customs Documentation: For international shipments, ensuring adherence to regional regulations. • Accuracy Checks: Double-check all labels and paperwork to prevent customs delays or delivery cancellations. • Maintain Records: File and store up-to-date physical or electronic logs for compliance and audit purposes. 3. Communication & Tracking • Carrier Liaison: Coordinate daily pickups with freight forwarders and transport providers. • Real-time Tracking: Monitor shipment status through Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to ensure on-time delivery. • Customer Updates: Proactively provide tracking information and status updates to customers. • Problem Resolution: Act quickly to address issues like truck delays, breakdowns, or missing items by arranging backup vehicles and informing stakeholders. - Workable +5 4.
