Required Experience:
• Ability to pass a 60 WPM typing test
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables (VLOOKUPs / XLOOKUPs)
• Experience working with inventory, supply chain, or warehouse data
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions and dig deeper
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in healthcare supply chain or working with vendors like Medline, Cardinal, or McKesson
• Experience with Workday and/or Lawson ERP systems
• Understanding of inventory accounting or cost center tracking
• Warehouse or inventory management background
• Bilingual (Spanish) – strongly preferred
• Knowledge of compliance or regulatory environments
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a highly detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to support supply chain and inventory operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This individual will play a key role in managing inventory levels, analyzing reports, and ensuring critical supplies are available to support patient care.
This is an operational and analytical role with a strong emphasis on Excel, reporting, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Review and analyze inventory reports to identify shortages, trends, and replenishment needs
• Monitor inventory levels, including identifying items below trigger thresholds (e.g., ≤7 days of supply) and determining next steps
• Create and submit purchase requisitions; coordinate with buyers who convert requisitions into purchase orders (POs)
• Process and track purchase orders and orders fulfillment
• Investigate discrepancies such as “fill or kill” orders and determine root cause (“the why”)
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (inventory team, buyers, and contracts team) to resolve issues and maintain supply flow
• Support contract and purchasing coordination, including touchpoints with vendors and internal contract owners
• Utilize systems including Workday (primary) and Lawson (limited exposure)
• Maintain accurate documentation tied to cost centers and inventory allocations
• Continuously evaluate and improve undefined or evolving processes
