Quality Control Specialist

Job Title: Quality Control Specialist Group/Department: Distribution Center Location: North Chicago Shift/Hours: Mon – Fri, 7:00am – 3:30pm KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for following all related processes and procedures as it relates to the position. Reviewing inbound material to ensure it falls within acceptable tolerance levels, quality checks on outbound shipments for the same. Completing PC work for visibility of team on defects, communication via email, phone, & in person. Work with off sites to ensure timely turns on quality issues & scrap material. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Preferably bilingual – English & Spanish • • Written & verbal • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred • • Internal emails • Documenting on paper • Uploading documents to SharePoint • Inspecting inbound material • • Bend test • Conductor count • Strand count • Jacket thickness • Vendor labeling • Reel length • Inspecting outbound material • • Shipped item matches ordered item • Barricade tape used • Proper UL labeling • Correct King Wire wrap • Monitor Scrap material across network • • Work with all facilities to ensure timely processing of scrap out of system • Monitor QC material across network • • Work with all facilities to ensure timely processing of QC related material EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in warehouse industry operations in a high-volume environment. Candidate must be familiar with warehouse and/or inventory management systems and show a high level of comfort and competency. MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook, are required. Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly and professionally both within the departments and cross-functionally. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
