Job Description
Empower students across the Southeast Florida Coast by supporting learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a full-time, itinerant capacity. This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic setting, working on-site and traveling between multiple K-12 schools to deliver vital services. As a valued resource for students and school teams, youll provide expertise in hearing loss, advocate for accessibility, and help shape learning environments where every student can thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Current Florida Department of Education Certification specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Background in DHH education, either as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar role
• Experience working with students from Kindergarten through Grade 12
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant provider
• Completion of fingerprinting and credentialing requirements (may be able to pull from Department of Health records)
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver DHH support services to students across a range of grade levels (K-12)
• Guide and assist with Functional Listening Evaluations (FLEs) district-wide
• Support Usher Syndrome screenings throughout the district
• Gather audiological evaluations and ensure proper upload to PEER system
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to build accessible educational environments
