Quality Control Technician
LG Resources - Payson, UT Pay: $21-$23/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
LG Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance operations in a nutraceutical manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring products meet company, GMP, and regulatory standards through testing, inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production teams.
Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-process and finished product inspections, sampling raw materials, and conducting analytical and physical testing. This role helps ensure all products meet established specifications and quality standards prior to release.
Responsibilities
• Perform sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products according to SOPs • Conduct visual inspections, weight checks, moisture analysis, pH testing, and other quality-related tests • Accurately document test results in compliance with GMP and data integrity standards • Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, or out-of-specification results • Support root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment • Review batch records and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness • Collaborate with production and QA teams to maintain product quality and compliance • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required • Associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field preferred • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or laboratory role preferred • Experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing is a plus • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and regulatory standards • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures • Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and testing techniques • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with LIMS or ERP systems preferred • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
