Our client is seeking a Mold Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mold Design Engineer, you will be part of the Processing Engineering department supporting the Process Engineer Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, great communication and advance computer skills that which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mold Design Engineer
Location: Fairfield, CA
Pay Range: $85,000 to $110,000
What’s the Job? • Develops designs, details, and assemblies for compression molds and related tooling • Creates 3D models and specifications for mold construction • Supports concurrent engineering activities with Program Management/Business Development and Customer • Performs tolerance analysis and dimensional checks of designs • Administers and supports Digital Design Management and Model Based Definition, including customer engineering data and internally generated data
What’s Needed?
• Minimum two years of professional mold design experience preferred • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Design, or equivalent required • 3D parametric solid modeling CAD experience is a must.Working knowledge of thermosets and how they are used in molding; thermoplastic experience helpful • Experience or interest in the development and design of compression molds for advanced composite materials • Effective knowledge of GD&T, design techniques, tools, and principles involved in technical plans, drawings, models, and tooling • Effective mechanical aptitude
