Job Title: Python Software Engineer II

Location: Redwood City, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to help design, build, scale, and operate large-scale distributed systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and debugging skills who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with modern technologies.

Responsibilities: • Build and operate distributed backend systems • Troubleshoot complex technical issues • Work with Unix-based environments • Develop software using Python, Go, or C++ • Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Deliver high-quality engineering output in dynamic environments

Qualifications: • MS/PhD in Computer Science • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience • Strong debugging + analytical skill set • Unix proficiency • Proficiency in Python (preferred), Go, or C++ • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Passion for learning and adopting new technologies

Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a contractor you may also be eligible for health benefits such as health, dental, and vision as well as access to a 401K plan.
