Position Summary
Operate a forklift equipped with a push-pull attachment to handle products on slip sheets safely and efficiently, supporting warehouse and shipping operations. This is a order replenishment position, so you will be picking, loading to the dock, and loading trucks.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a forklift with push-pull/slip sheet attachment to move products.
• Load and unload trailers, containers, and trucks using slip sheet systems.
• Pull products onto the platen and push them off at designated locations.
• Stack, store, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Inspect loads for damage, stability, and proper placement.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Follow inventory procedures, including scanning, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, warehouse safety standards, and company procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with order picking, staging, wrapping, and other warehouse duties as needed.Required Skills and Qualifications
• Experience operating a slip sheet (push-pull) forklift.
• Valid forklift certification (if required by employer or state regulations).
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping/receiving procedures, and inventory systems.
• Ability to handle loads safely without pallets.
• Understanding of load weight limits and equipment capacities.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (varies by employer).
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
• Operate equipment for extended periods.
• Work in hot, cold, or refrigerated warehouse environments if required.
Preferred Qualifications (Often Requested)
• 1–3 years Slip Sheet Forklift experience
• Experience with push-pull attachments, clamp trucks, or specialized warehouse equipment.
• Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• High school diploma or GED.
