Proman is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our growing team in Oswego, IL. This role focuses on hands‑on, manual machining of complex, high‑precision parts used in equipment repair—not CNC production. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

Job Details for Manual Machinist position: • Location: Oswego, IL 60543 • Job Type: Full‑Time • Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed) • Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour • Language: English or Spanish Job Responsibilities for Manual Machinist position: • Machine complex, high‑precision parts for equipment repairs • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools • Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards • Identify and report defective materials or equipment issues • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Perform mechanical assembly/disassembly as needed • Collaborate with team members and support additional shop tasks as assigned Job Requirement for Manual Machinist position: • High school Diploma or GED • 3+ years of experience operating manual machining equipment preferred • Experience in a manufacturing or repair environment • Strong blueprint reading and close‑tolerance machining skills • Proficient with precision measuring tools • Mechanically inclined with strong problem‑solving skills • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods • Crane or forklift experience is a plus (training available) Why PROMAN Staffing? • Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff • Direct Deposit Programs • Referral bonus • Weekly Pay • Insurance and 401(k) Programs PROMAN Staffing’s goal is to create a great talent experience to ensure successful employment for our employees to reach their full potential.
