This role involves inspecting parts, using hand tools/power tools to smooth surfaces, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications. Set up and operate grinders and related machinery to finish, polish, or sharpen metal parts. Examine parts for defects and ensure they meet strict design specifications before, during, and after the grinding process Use hand tools and power tools to sand, grind, and polish castings to remove defects. Use tools like micrometers or calipers to measure parts to meet precise standards. Perform basic maintenance on equipment and select appropriate tooling for the job.
