Hirequest Health /Snelling Staffing is hiring for Certified Medical Assistant to work in Canton/Massillon Area. Weekly pay Schedule will be Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm assists with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol. CMA may also provide initial triage, registration, and administrative services as needed. In addition, the CMA is also responsible for implementing, maintaining, and educating staff members on OSHA, CLIA, and Safety. Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations. Maintains inventories and stocks medicines, vaccines, immunizations and medical supplies as necessary. Develops and maintains an effective and informative training program for all staff members on OSHA, CLIA, Biohazard Waste, and Safety. Records/Monitors refrigerator temperature and controls on all lab equipment/tests. Interviews and reviews patients for financial status, as appropriate. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues as directed by the provider. Retrieves lab reports and tests from other health care providers. may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. May recruit patients for studies and may participate in outreach clinical activities as required. Actively participates in the Quality Improvement Program and on other committees as needed. Do prior- authorizations, phone messages, and special projects. Travel as necessary Duties may change without notice to meet the needs of the Health Center. Medical Assistant Certificate At least 2 years' experience office based preferred. Prior experience with OSHA, CLIA, Safety, and Immunizations highly preferred. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Knowledge of inventory management practices. Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories. Knowledge of outpatient clinical administrative procedures. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols as well as the ability to utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required. Must be willing to submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check if requested. Must be willing to travel to all locations.
