INTERMEDIATE / SENIOR LEVEL PCB LAYOUT DESIGNER $85,000 -$130,000 yearly TEMPORARY CONTRACT TO FULL TIME POSSIBILITY FOR TECHNICIANS AND ENGINEERS REMOTE WORK POSSIBILITY FOR WELL QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS Job Description Summary: Seeking an intermediate to senior level PCB layout designer for high frequency analog and digital electronics and switching power supplies, 4 to 8 layers. The PCB layout designer will create PCB CAD files from imaging provided schematic and parts numbers. Coordinates with imaging electrical engineers and mechanical engineers on the design of the PCB assembly. It is desired the PCB layout designer have experience with PCB manufacturers. The successful candidate will have been through the PCB layout design process to the manufacture of, and test of, prototype boards. Required Core Competencies: · PCB layout design experience of 4 or more layers · Layout for high frequency analog and digital electronics and switching power electronics · OpAmps, microcontrollers, drivers, oscillators, Ethernet, USB 1.1, RS-485 serial links, etc. · Footprint design · Silk screen artwork Desired: · Familiar with PCB layout techniques and standards · Plane capacitors, high current traces, voltage spacing, heat dissipation, microstrip · Training from Speeding Edge or similar · Create model of the assembled PCB for visualization and mechanical drawings · Prepare CAD files and notes for PCB manufacturers · Selection of, and coordination with, PCB manufacturer to produce prototype boards Preferred Software Tool: · Altium Pluses: · Microwave RF layout techniques Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Experience: • PCB Layout Design of 4 or more layers: 5 years (Required) • Layout for high frequency analog and digital electronics: 5 years (Required) • OpAmps, microcontrollers, drivers, oscillators, & Ethernet: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
