We're seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to support the smooth and efficient flow of materials that keep our production and shipping processes moving. What You'll Be DoingAs a Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include: • Material Handling & Storage: Receive, distribute, and store materials and finished products in designated secure locations to support production and inventory accuracy. • Transportation & Loading: Move materials manually or with hand trucks and skids; use forklift if certified to enhance operational efficiency. • Shipping Coordination: Act as a liaison with the shipping clerk to confirm shipping details, special instructions, and help expedite time-sensitive shipments. In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, while assisting with inventory cycle counts and disposing of scrap materials appropriately. What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred) • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted and up to 45 lbs with assistance Skills: • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and shipping staff. • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and accuracy in handling and recording materials. • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to perform data entry for inventory management.
