Job Description
The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for safely operating a roll-off truck to transport and deliver containers for waste removal and recycling services. This position ensures timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining safety, customer service, and compliance with transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities • Operate roll-off trucks to deliver, exchange, and remove containers at customer locations • Transport waste materials to designated disposal or recycling facilities • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues • Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with safety regulations • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and disposal tickets • Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, NTS requirements, and company policies • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site • Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, route changes, or issues
Requirements & Qualifications • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A • Must meet all NTS (National Transportation Safety) requirements • Previous experience operating roll-off trucks or heavy equipment (preferred) • Knowledge of local roads and routes • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed • Strong attention to safety and detail • Good communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions • Outdoor work in various weather conditions • May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime • Exposure to noise, dust, and odors associated with waste handling
