Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting

• Familiarity with IEP meetings and classroom accommodations

• Certification or licensure as required by the state of Utah (or eligibility to obtain)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL for students, staff, and parents

• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and their peers or educators

• Assist with translating written materials and classroom instruction

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support plans
