Key Responsibilities • Lead and expand a complex litigation practice with a focus on insurance-related matters and high-exposure disputes • Manage all aspects of litigation, including early case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, coverage analysis, trial preparation, and resolution • Serve as lead counsel in courtroom appearances, depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations • Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and coverage interpretation • Handle a diverse and challenging caseload with a high degree of independence • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and contribute to the professional development of the litigation team • Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, practice growth, and operational planning • Remain current on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices affecting litigation and insurance law Qualifications: Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. • Admitted to the New York State Bar. • 10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation. • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution. • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to build and guide a practice team preferred. • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
