Job Description
Accountable Healthcare Staffing, in partnership with American Mobile Healthcare—a recognized leader in healthcare staffing—is seeking a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver high-quality respiratory care at leading healthcare facilities nationwide. This travel role is ideal for a clinically strong RRT who thrives in fast-paced settings, adapts quickly to new environments, and is motivated by both professional growth and the opportunity to explore new locations.
As a Travel RRT, you will provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services to adult, pediatric, and/or neonatal populations depending on assignment. You will assess patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams. Typical responsibilities include performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function assessments, initiating and managing oxygen therapy, administering bronchodilators and other respiratory medications, and providing patient and family education on respiratory conditions and equipment use.
You will manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation in critical care and acute care settings, including ventilator setup, troubleshooting, weaning, and emergency airway support in accordance with facility protocols. You may respond to rapid response and code blue events, assist with intubations, and support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen systems, and other advanced respiratory modalities. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adherence to evidence-based practice, infection control standards, and patient safety regulations are essential aspects of this role.
This position offers the unique advantages of travel healthcare, including assignments at renowned hospitals and medical centers, exposure to a wide variety of clinical practices and patient populations, and opportunities to broaden your skills in diverse geographic regions. You will work closely with a dedicated recruitment and clinical support team focused on empowering you, promoting diversity, and supporting your long-term professional development. Assignments typically range from 8 to 13 weeks with the possibility of extension, and schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on facility needs.
Accountable Healthcare Staffing and American Mobile Healthcare provide competitive pay, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and additional travel-related benefits such as housing assistance or stipends and travel reimbursement. This is a full-time travel opportunity well-suited for RRTs who are committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based respiratory care while advancing their careers and experiencing new practice environments across the country.
