A growing manufacturing company in Northbrook, IL is seeking an entry-level Customer Coordinator to join their team. Job Description:
The Customer Coordinator will support day-to-day customer interactions, including assisting with quotes, order processing, and general inquiries. This role works closely with internal departments to ensure accurate information, timely updates, and a smooth overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparing and processing customer quotes and orders
• Track orders and follow up to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional manner
• Support new customer account setup and maintain accurate records
• Enter and update customer information in internal systems/CRM
• Communicate updates regarding order status, inventory, and shipments
• Partner with internal teams (Sales, Operations, etc.) to resolve customer needs
• Assist with basic documentation and administrative support tasks
• Provide general customer service support as needed
Qualifications:
• 0–2 years of customer service, administrative, or office experience (internships welcome)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking on the phone and interacting with customers
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with CRM systems is a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a customer-facing role
