Mechanical Technician
Dulles, VA
Onsite | Full-Time
Pay: $29+/hour
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance and operation of automated transit systems in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electromechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and system adjustments on electromechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot system issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Utilize precision instruments (micrometers, oscilloscopes, analyzers) to test and calibrate systems
• Document maintenance activities and ensure accurate reporting
• Support system operations and assist with recovery procedures when needed
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding system status
Qualifications:
• 1–3 years of experience in an electromechanical or industrial maintenance environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Experience using diagnostic and precision measurement tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required screenings and clearances
• Ability to work in a physically active industrial environment
Education:
• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or related field preferred
• Technical certifications in aviation, automotive, or industrial maintenance are a plus
