Customer Advocate (Dispute Resolution Specialist) Location: West Valley City, UT (100% Onsite) Pay: $18–$20/hour | Temp-to-Hire
Do you excel at professional writing and enjoy turning complex information into clear, well-structured communication? We’re looking for a detail-oriented Customer Advocate with strong writing skills to join our team. This role is heavily focused on drafting accurate, compliant, and professional written responses to customer and third-party disputes. If you have a background in English, communications, or a writing-intensive field, this is an excellent opportunity to apply and grow those skills in a professional setting.
What You’ll Do
Investigate, analyze, and categorize customer disputes Research and gather information from internal teams to ensure accuracy Draft clear, concise, and professional written responses to resolve customer concerns Translate complex financial and regulatory information into easy-to-understand communication Ensure all written correspondence meets compliance standards (RESPA, Regulation Z, FCRA, GLBA) Identify and follow through on necessary account corrections Communicate effectively with customers, third parties, and internal teams Manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree or higher in English, Communications, or related field preferred) Strong professional writing skills (this is a writing-intensive role) Excellent grammar, tone, and attention to detail Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines consistently Strong research, analysis, and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and make sound, well-documented decisions Customer service experience required Mortgage industry knowledge or familiarity with regulations is a plus
