Automation Technician Location: Arlington, TX Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Pay Range: $27–$41 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support our automation and maintenance operations. This role is responsible for maintaining automated machinery, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting in the training and development of junior technicians. Available Shifts • 1st Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm • 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm • 3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am Key Responsibilities • Support daily automation and maintenance floor demands while maintaining a positive and productive work environment • Keep maintenance areas and equipment clean and organized • Install, maintain, and replace automation systems throughout the production process • Troubleshoot components such as servos, sensors, and control systems • Prioritize automation tasks and follow established maintenance procedures • Coordinate repair activities with production and scheduling teams • Provide hands-on troubleshooting of automated production equipment • Communicate unresolved issues to the next shift • Complete all required documentation for daily tasks • Follow proper procedures for spare parts usage • Adhere to all safety policies and escalate issues per plant guidelines • Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications • High school diploma or GED • Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine maintenance; skilled trades education is a plus • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to follow safe work practices and use required PPE • Ability to read PLC logic and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics or blueprints Physical Requirements • Ability to stand or sit for 8–12 hours • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly • Ability to perform overhead and below‑waist work Benefits • 401(k) • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance • Paid Time Off • Company Events • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) If you are looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
