Job Title : Material Handler

Location : Temple, TX 76504

Job Type : Full-time

Pay/Salary : $20-$23/hr

Hours of Work : M-F 6 AM to 2 PM

This role involves receiving shipments of raw steel, unloading trucks, and verifying accompanying documentation such as bills of lading. You’ll work closely with team members to locate and supply materials needed for specific jobs, delivering materials to workstations as required. Basic layout skills, such as punching, bending, and drilling, are a plus. Ideal candidates will be able to identify various types and sizes of steel and have basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities: • Accurately identify and measure steel inventory. • Proficiently read and use a tape measure. • Review and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists. • Update inventory in the MRP system. • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. • Sort and organize steel materials in appropriate storage locations. • Adhere to departmental and company safety standards. • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently. • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to complete assigned tasks. • Assist with additional duties as needed.
