Air Export Clerk Details • Temp-to-Hire position • $ 16.00 / hour • Full Time work available • First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 09:30am to 06:00pm ) • Preparation of export shipments and distribution of documents. • Effective communication with customers, overseas agents and subcontractors. • Plan and arrange carriers for each shipment. • Prepare export shipments for assigned customers. This may include, shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo. • Generate pick-up orders and shipping labels as needed. • Ensure shipments are processed according to internal and external compliance regulations. • Filing and data entry using AS/400 system. Issue freight bills and invoices and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within credit terms. • Own key accounts and ensure they are serviced with best practice and retention in mind • Will work with all levels in the organization. • Working closely with the warehouse staff.

Air Export Clerk Qualifications • At least 6 months of related experience. • Preferably with International Commerce. • Flexibility to work overtime is a must Ability to confidently uphold professional client connections. • Computer proficiency (MS Work, Excel, Lotus Notes, AS/400) • Ability to patiently maneuver complex processes that may involve multiple levels of approval • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • English is required, Spanish is a plus. • Strong teamwork capabilities are essential. • Background check Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment • Applicant may be subject to a background check • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment • A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
