It’s mid-shift when a reach truck shows a fault code. You quickly isolate the issue, secure the area with Lockout/Tagout, confirm a battery performance anomaly, and return the unit to service after a compliant fix. You then update the maintenance log, request a replacement part, and coordinate a vendor for a more complex component overhaul scheduled for tomorrow—minimizing disruption to operations. Core responsibilities • Deliver preventive and corrective maintenance for warehouse and production equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair powered industrial equipment (including reach trucks) and battery charging systems. • Track battery performance, charging efficiency, and safety compliance. • Diagnose mechanical problems independently; engage outside vendors for complex work. • Maintain precise service documentation and maintenance logs. • Manage spare parts inventory; assist with ordering to ensure readiness. • Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies, with strict LOTO compliance. • Support facility operations with general maintenance and repairs. • Foster an orderly, safe, and clean environment. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred). • 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing or warehousing. • Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude. • Basic electrical and hydraulic system knowledge. • Experience executing preventive maintenance programs. • Familiarity with OSHA requirements and LOTO procedures. • Self-motivated, organized, and an effective communicator with operations and vendors. Pay: $23+ per hour, based on experience
