Job Description

Direct hire Fire Sprinkler Designer position in Goodlettsville, Tennessee for new construction and existing system modifications across the state. The role requires NICET Level II certification, 3 or more years of fire sprinkler design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK, and working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20 codes. Fire Sprinkler Designer Role

The Fire Sprinkler Designer plays a key role supporting both new construction and existing system modifications. The position involves a balanced mix of system design, material listing, and project coordination, primarily on projects located in Tennessee. • Design fire sprinkler systems for new and existing projects, including field surveys when needed • Prepare stock lists and order fabrication and job materials • Use AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam for design and coordination • Apply NFPA standards including NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, and other applicable codes • Apply local jurisdictional codes and authority-having-jurisdiction requirements • Support BIM coordination and participate in clash detection efforts • Collaborate with internal teams and provide field coordination support for design issues • Work closely with the Design Leader and cross-functional teams across multiple offices Background Profile • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design • NICET Level II certification required, or strong equivalent experience with willingness to obtain certification • Proficiency in AutoCAD required • Experience with Revit and BIM and 3D modeling strongly preferred • Experience using AutoSPRINK and related fire protection design software • Strong understanding of NFPA codes including NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and NFPA 20, plus local regulations • Ability to design systems, create material lists, and manage ordering processes • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is highly valued Features and Benefits • Competitive compensation package based on experience • 401(k) with company match • Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution • Health coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield • Life insurance coverage • Opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects • Collaborative team environment with experienced design leadership • Growth potential including leadership opportunities for more senior candidates • Exposure to both traditional design and evolving BIM coordination initiatives
