Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Manager Cheese Department

Position Summary The QA Manager for the Cheese Department is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and food safety functions related to cheese products within a fast-paced food distribution center. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains product integrity, and leads quality initiatives to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily quality assurance operations for the cheese department • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards • Monitor product quality, temperature controls, storage conditions, and shelf-life requirements specific to dairy and cheese products • Conduct routine inspections and audits of incoming, stored, and outgoing products • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including product deviations, damages, and customer complaints • Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reporting • Lead, train, and develop QA team members to ensure adherence to company standards • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve processes and maintain quality standards • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and food safety practices

Qualifications • 3 5 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety within a food distribution, manufacturing, or cold storage environment • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations • Experience working with dairy or cheese products is highly preferred • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and leadership abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA tracking systems

Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed • Comfortable working in refrigerated or cold storage environments
