JOB DESCRIPTION

An Insight Global customer is seeking a Senior Controls System Engineer to join their facilities team at a new manufacturing facility in North Phoenix. This person will be responsible for designing, installing, commissioning and operating the control systems for the factory including PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms that control HVAC, UPW, WW treatment, Gas and Chemical Systems, and Safety Systems. This role is one of the first key roles being hired at this new facility so there is immense opportunity for upward mobility in the future. It is expected that this person is capable of making an immediate impact without much training or oversight. Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing engineering drawings, submittals and driving construction project schedules. - Partnering with controls design vendors to ensure proper equipment installation and commissioning. - Support PLC, DCS and SCADA systems with operations and maintenance. - Update and distribute electrical system documentation, manuals, and processes. - Develop preventative maintenance systems and emergency response procedures. - Respond to systems malfunctions across HVAC, process, UPW, WWT, gas, chemical and life safety systems. - Further responsibilities related to capacity planning, and overall optimal system performance as the facility scales. This role will operate full-time on-site at the new facility, including working out of construction trailers until the office is open in about 12 months. This is a full-time role and we can offer a salary between $130k and $150k plus bonuses and a generous benefits package. Exact compensation may vary based on education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or similar field. At least 3 years of experience in designing and operating control systems for semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities. • Experience of SOO (sequence of operations) for PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, PID controllers and variable frequency drives that control critical facilities infrastructure. • Experience working on HMI operator interfaces. • Experience interpreting P&ID drawings and specifications.
