File Transfer Operations Support
Location: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Chandler, AZ; or Dallas, TX
Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Duration: 12-month contract with strong potential for extension
Our client, a leading U.S.-based financial services institution, is seeking a skilled File Transfer Operations Support Engineer to manage and support secure file transfer platforms, troubleshoot connectivity and encryption issues, and maintain high availability of data exchange services.
This role focuses on production support, secure file transfer technologies, and infrastructure operations, with an emphasis on incident management, troubleshooting, and system stability. You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, improving operational processes, and supporting modernization of file transfer services.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operational Support • Provide L2 operational support for managed file transfer platforms such as Axway SecureTransport (AXST), Connect:Direct (NDM), Secure Proxy, or similar tools • Monitor system health and respond to alerts using tools such as Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Prometheus • Troubleshoot issues related to file transfers, connectivity, encryption, and certificate management • Execute runbook-driven tasks including service restarts, workflow validation, and certificate renewals • Participate in incident response, triage, escalation, and root cause analysis (RCA)
Infrastructure & Platform Support • Support secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, and SSH • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance, reliability, and automation • Contribute to change and release management processes in a controlled environment
Operations, Risk & Documentation • Maintain and update runbooks, documentation, and operational procedures • Participate in daily Risk & Control activities, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards • Work within ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems to manage incidents and requests • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery • Identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term solutions and process improvements
Required Qualifications • 2–4+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Support, or Technology Operations • Experience in production support environments, including incident management and troubleshooting • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, etc.) • Experience working with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred) • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, connectivity) • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with managed file transfer platforms (Axway SecureTransport, Connect:Direct/NDM, or similar) • Experience with secure protocols (SFTP, HTTPS, SSH) and certificate validation • Familiarity with file transfer workflows, batch jobs, and failure troubleshooting • Exposure to Linux/Windows environments • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Ability to create clear technical documentation and process improvements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred, not required)
