Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse environment! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order picker, and sit-down , to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth operations, accurate order picking, and timely shipping & receiving. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, sit-down, order pick (occasionally), pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments Conduct manual handling and heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to prevent injury Manage order picking processes using warehouse management systems and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately Perform equipment repair or troubleshooting as needed to maintain optimal operation of all machinery Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining safety standards in production areas and adhering to OSHA regulations Participate in warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and ensuring proper storage Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse setting Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker technology Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and OSHA regulations Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is a plus Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurement tasks Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling is highly desirable Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as warehouse supervisor experience or specialized equipment training are advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real impact!
