Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field (Master's preferred)

5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data engineering

3+ years in a leadership or management role, including people management

Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python non-negotiable

Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage

Experience with data catalog tools (Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar)

Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of data governance strategies, policies, and frameworks across an enterprise environment

Manage and develop a team of 4-8 employees

Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing junior talent

Define and enforce data classification, access controls, metadata management, and data lineage standards
