A growing and highly respected commercial services organization is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Business Operations Manager to support a multi-location commercial business unit. This leadership role serves as a key partner to executive leadership and plays a critical role in aligning people, safety, compliance, training, and operational support functions across the division.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced industrial or service environments and enjoys building scalable systems, supporting field operations, and driving organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with executive leadership to oversee daily business support operations for a large commercial division • Support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration in partnership with HR leadership • Coordinate risk management initiatives including insurance programs, claims administration, and liability mitigation • Facilitate workforce training, technical certifications, and safety program execution across field operations • Lead administrative compliance efforts related to DOT, OSHA/MSHA, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, compliance, reporting, and process standardization • Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate departments to ensure alignment with enterprise policies, systems, and strategic objectives • Maintain accurate operational reporting and support data-driven decision-making across the division
Qualifications
• 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, HR, administration, or operational support functions • Experience in industrial, commercial, fleet, manufacturing, distribution, automotive, transportation, or service-based environments strongly preferred • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA/MSHA, labor regulations, employee programs, and risk management practices • Strong systems aptitude with experience using ERP, HRIS, or enterprise reporting platforms • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or related field preferred • Professional certifications such as SPHR, SHRM, ARM, or related credentials are a plus
