Sales Support Representative – Industrial and Marine Engines
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support our Industrial and Marine Diesel Engines commercial operations across North America. This role plays a key part in supporting sales execution, coordinating technical-commercial activities, and partnering closely with Marketing & Communication to strengthen our presence in the industrial and marine diesel engine market.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and enjoys working at the intersection of technical product knowledge, commercial coordination, and marketing support — while building a strong foundation in B2B industrial sales.
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Travel: Up to 20% — occasional customer visits, trade shows, and key customer events
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing Managers, as well as distributors across North America (USA and Canada).
• Provide both technical and commercial support to the sales team.
• Manage RFQs, quotations, and proposal development, ensuring alignment across technical specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Support the planning and execution of trade shows, industry events, and distributor meetings, including logistics, materials, coordination, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline data, and forecasting reports.
• Update and manage distributor and customer price lists, along with maintaining a web-based quotation system.
• Assist in preparing sales presentations, technical documentation, and customer-facing materials.
• Conduct market and competitor research to support business development efforts.
• Monitor distributor performance and drive structured follow-ups to ensure commercial alignment.
• Track order intake, backlog, and coordinate deliveries with internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a technical, commercial, or B2B environment is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with solid commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and disciplined manner.
• Comfortable working with technical product information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. CRM experience is an added advantage.
