Bookkeeper

We are partnering with a family-owned, mid-sized specialty electrical contractor on the South Shore to identify a strong Bookkeeper to join their growing team! This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, job costing, prevailing wage payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance. This role is critical in supporting project financials, ensuring compliance with federal and FAA requirements, and maintaining overall accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger • Assist with monthly and year-end closings • Prepare financial reports for management review • Support overall accounting processes and internal financial controls • Process and track change orders, including cost impacts • Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate billing and documentation • Maintain organized and up-to-date project financial records • Ensure compliance with FAA, federal, and state requirements • Assist with audits, payroll reviews, and compliance reporting Qualifications: • 5 years of bookkeeping or construction accounting experience preferred • Experience with construction job costing • Knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements • Familiarity with AP/AR and general ledger accounting • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently in a small, team-oriented environment Pay Range: $70,000 – 80,000 Commensurate with experience Now in our 4th decade, Resource Options, Inc.
