Job Description
RPM Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Final Quality Control Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards in the manufacturing of fiber optic components and cable assemblies. In this hands-on role, you will inspect, verify, and approve products throughout the production process, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of fiber optic cable assemblies using precision tools (calipers, scales, rulers, gauges, and other measuring instruments). • Read and interpret customer drawings, internal blueprints, sales orders, and contracts. • Verify that production meets all specifications, contractual requirements, and Insertion Loss (IL) test reports. • Conduct in-process inspections to confirm conformance to drawings and work instructions. • Approve finished products and documented reworks (per Trouble Sheets or NCMRs). • Generate Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and accurately document inspection results. • Identify, document, and report non-conformances.
Required Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 1–2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with Standard Measuring Instruments (SMI) such as calipers, gauges, rulers, and meters. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints. • Basic math, computer, and documentation skills. • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
