Smith Personnel Solutions has served clients locally and nationally in the light industrial market for over 30 years by providing supplemental staffing solutions that enhance operations.

We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the Charlotte market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business development and building strategic partnerships to expand our client base. This role requires a proactive approach to relationship management and sales strategy execution to drive revenue and support the company’s long term objectives.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets • Identify new market opportunities and prospective clients through research and networking • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders • Lead sales initiatives by presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing deals • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote company services

Qualifications and Skills • Proven experience in business development and relationship based sales preferably in the temporary staffing industry • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems with Avionte experience a plus • Excellent negotiation and closing skills including complex deals • Ability to identify opportunities and develop actionable strategies • Knowledge of marketing principles to support lead generation and brand positioning • Strong project management and organizational skills • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
