Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Buckhoist Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining buckhoists—specialized lifting equipment used to handle heavy materials and components within our production facility. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and precise movement of materials, supporting various fabrication, assembly, and packaging processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Operate buckhoists and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move heavy loads across the manufacturing floor.

• Conduct routine inspections of buckhoists, cranes, and lifting devices to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.

• Coordinate with team members to plan lifting operations, ensuring loads are secured correctly using appropriate rigging techniques.

• Assist with setup and calibration of machinery such as CNC milling machines, stamping presses, and press brake machines when required.

• Maintain detailed records of lift operations, equipment inspections, and safety checks in accordance with company policies.

• Support fabrication and assembly processes by handling materials with precision using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments.

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to working at heights, load limits, and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating buckhoists or similar overhead lifting equipment within a manufacturing or factory environment.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks, and blueprint reading.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise machining and fabrication tasks.

• Competency in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining (CNC lathe, CNC milling machine), stamping presses, press brake machines, welding, and fabrication techniques.

• Valid forklift certification preferred; experience with materials handling in a warehouse setting is advantageous.

• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in load handling and quality checks.

• Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow all safety procedures related to crane operation and heavy material handling.

• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members across assembly lines and fabrication areas. Join us as a Buckhoist Operator if you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your technical skills make a real impact! We’re dedicated to fostering a safe workspace that values precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement—helping you grow your career while contributing to high-quality production standards.
